Brazil: Postdoctoral Research in AI-Supported Identification and Recommendation of Refactoring Opportunities

This project is focused on the development of an approach capable of recommending refactoring opportunities in legacy system code. The entire process must be supported by Artificial Intelligence technologies and should also encompass explainability techniques.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

-PhD in Computer Science;
-Experience in research on the use of AI to recommend code refactoring opportunities;
-Experience with data analysis and data preparation for use in AI models;
-Experience with explainability techniques for Machine Learning models;
-Desirable experience with system modernization.

The position is open to Brazilian and international candidates. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship amount to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activities.
