The research areas of interest align with those of the staff at CCM, which include:

* numerical analysis, especially the areas of partial differential equations, integral equations, fast algorithms, spectral and high-order methods
* machine learning, especially the areas of optimization, learning theory, probabilistic modeling, deep learning, high-dimensional data analysis, and scientific applications* statistical methodology, modeling, and inference
* computational biophysics and imaging, including cryo-electron microscopy, molecular dynamics, and structural biology
* high performance computing and open source software libraries.
