Slovenia: INZ Visiting Fellowship Programme 2026/2027
The Institute of Contemporary History (INZ) in Ljubljana is pleased to open applications for the fifth edition of its Visiting Fellowship Programme for the academic year 2026/2027.
We welcome applications from doctoral candidates, early career researchers, and senior academics working in contemporary political, social, economic and environmental history, border studies, nationalism, the history of Yugoslavia, gender history, memory politics, intellectual history, and digital humanities.
Fellowships are intended for short-term research stays of two weeks to two months between 1 October 2026 and 1 October 2027. Selected fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate with INZ researchers, contribute to the Institute’s intellectual life, and develop long-term research partnerships.
The fellowship includes free accommodation in Ljubljana, travel expenses of up to 500 EUR, a working space at INZ, access to the Institute’s library, and the opportunity to take part in a dynamic international research environment.
