Tenure Track Position at Southern Methodist University
The Department of Mathematics at Southern Methodist University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professorship starting August 1, 2027. Preference will be given to candidates whose research program involves optimization, quantum computing, and/or machine learning for scientific computation. The department has nineteen tenure-stream faculty with active research efforts in numerical analysis, scientific computing, machine learning, data science, imaging, biology, nonlinear optics, and fluid mechanics.

Candidates must have a PhD in applied mathematics, mathematics, or a closely related field. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
