UK: Assistant Professor position at Heriot-Watt University

The Department of Mathematics, Heriot-Watt University, seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Teaching and Research. The successful candidate will play a leading role in our BSc Data Science and Software Engineering joint programme with Xidian University in Xi’an, China. The teaching on the programme is delivered in short blocks in China as well as at our campus in Edinburgh. 

The successful candidate will also be expected to produce high-quality research, secure research funding, and supervise PhD and postdoctoral students. While the research area is open, the ability to supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses in the broad field of Data Science is essential.
