Brazil: Postdoc position in Computer Science ICMC/USP

The project entails: identifying the challenges, opportunities, and actual needs of administrators regarding the use of AI to analyze municipal public policies; designing interfaces and data visualizations that render the system's recommendations understandable, trustworthy, and actionable for public administrators; validating the prototype through case studies and usability testing with real users; proposing replicable guidelines and best practices for the implementation, adoption, and sustainable use of DSSs in Brazilian municipalities; and incorporating accessibility and inclusion criteria.

•⁠ PhD in Computer Science;
•⁠ Experience in research regarding the use of AI;
•⁠ Experience in HCI and applied research in smart cities (experience with visual analytics and in-the-wild evaluation);
•⁠ Proficiency in Python programming is essential, as the role involves development and testing in real-world environments (São Carlos City Hall).
Desirable: Experience evaluating agentic or generative AI
