UK: Research Associate in General Framework for Nonequilibrium Processes
About the role
Our group invites applications by highly talented researchers of outstanding ability for a Research Associate position in General Framework for Nonequilibrium Processes: From Theory to Applications as part of the ERC Frontier Research Advanced Grant “Machine-Aided General Framework for Fluctuating Dynamic Density Functional Theory (MAGFFDDFT)”. You will lead the overarching phase of this cutting-edge project, that transitions its computational-theoretical developments into targeted practical applications.
What we are looking for
You should have (or about to receive) a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or other related field, and a strong foundation and proven record in general mathematical modelling, mathematical techniques (analytical – numerical), scientific computing and numerical methods.
Experience or good knowledge with some or all of the following areas is highly desirable: computational and applied mathematics, especially numerical and applied analysis of partial differential equations (PDEs)/stochastic PDEs and stochastic processes, and physics, especially fluid dynamics and statistical physics.
