Chile: Tenure-Track Faculty Positions, Department of Mathematical Engineering

The Department of Mathematical Engineering of the University of Concepción invites applications for 5 tenure-track faculty positions, starting in June 2026. 

* One of them is exclusively for female candidates. Preference will be given to candidates whose research aligns with the following areas: Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Numerical Analysis, Optimization and Calculus of Variations, Partial Differential Equations, Probability and Stochastic Processes and other branches of Applied Mathematics.

* The other 4 positions are open for female or male candidates, whose research aligns with the following areas, listed in order of priority:
(i) Probability and Stochastic Processes; Optimization and Calculus of Variations.
(ii) Discrete Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Physics, and other branches of Applied Mathematics.
One position will be allocated exclusively to Probability and Stochastic Processes, and one position will be allocated exclusively to Optimization and Calculus of Variations.
