Netherlands: PhD position at Eindhoven University of Technology: Robust Multi-Criteria Optical Design under Uncertainty

The Computational Illumination Optics group in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology invites applications for a PhD position entitled:

“Robust Multi-Criteria Optical Design under Uncertainty”.

This project lies at the interface of numerical optimization, optical design, and uncertainty quantification. It focuses on the development of mathematical models and numerical algorithms that systematically incorporate uncertainties into the optical design process. The aim is to enable novel design strategies that are robust with respect to perturbations and capable of balancing multiple competing performance criteria.

We are seeking applicants with a strong background in applied and numerical mathematics. Further information and the application link can be found here: https://www.tue.nl/en/working-at-tue/vacancy-overview/phd-position-robust-multi-criteria-optical-design-under-uncertainty

The application deadline is April 4.
