Sweden: Postdoc position in Scientific Computing

We are calling for applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in Scientific Computing at Lund University's Centre for Mathematical Sciences. The envisioned research lies at the intersection of numerical analysis, uncertainty quantification, and scientific machine learning. It will primarily focus on probabilistic methods for data-driven model reduction, with an emphasis on maintaining physical consistency, numerical stability, and real-time data assimilation within reduced-order models. Primary application areas include computational physics and climate modeling. Teaching may also be part of the duties (maximum 20%).

Please refer to the job application portal on Varbi (https://lu.varbi.com/en/what:job/jobID:910922/) for further descriptions and application guidelines. Interested candidates are welcome to contact Mengwu Guo (mengwu.guo@math.lu.se) and send an application through Varbi by April 24, 2026.
